Council for Educational Change's Educational Leadership Assessment (ELA) Purchased by School District of Sumter County, Florida
November 15, 2004
Council for Educational Change's latest online tool, the Educational Leadership Assessment (ASAP ELA), has been purchased by the Office of Staff Development, School District of Hillsborough County, Florida. The program, developed with CEC's education partner, Etraffic Solutions, is being used by 32 principal candidates.
“ Meeting the need for identification of school administration candidates is becoming more and more acute as we face a national shortage of individuals willing and ready to assume the Principal role in our schools. We are pleased that we can help school districts and universities to identify and assess school principal candidates through the use of Educational Leadership Assessments.” said Wayne Poncia, CEO, Etraffic Solutions.
The ELA is delivered through the Accelerated School Administrator Program (ASAP, www.asapportal.com). It is designed to identify high-potential educators with sufficient and appropriate knowledge and experience to be part of an educational leadership program and undertake the practice of leadership. The ELA is in line with Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) standards. It consists of a comprehensive set of validated multiple choice questions and a competency test of technological literacy based on ten dimensions of educational leadership.
ASAP provides high quality, individualized, targeted professional development. It efficiently prepares school administrators and teachers to be effective, knowledgeable leaders and educators who are ready for the challenges of today's schools. For more information please visit www.asapportal.com.
